How to read a Mercedes VIN for parts ordering
Use the VIN and chassis plate to order the right bumper, light or interior trim — and avoid expensive wrong-fit returns.

Where to find the chassis code
Open the driver’s door — the chassis plate usually lists the model designation (e.g. 205.0xx). Your VIN is also on the windscreen and registration documents.
For body and interior parts, the W-code (W205, W213, W463…) plus model year is what we match against listings.
What to put in your order notes
Paste the VIN or chassis designation when you checkout. Our desk confirms against the product fitment fields before dispatch.
