Common Mercedes parts wrong-order mistakes (and how to avoid them)
The ordering errors we see most — wrong chassis, wrong LCI, wrong side — and the one-minute checks that prevent them.

Mistake 1: shopping by model name only
“C-Class bumper” is not a fitment. “W205 front bumper cover 2015–2018” is.
Always open a /parts/{chassis} landing or confirm the chassis field on the product page.
Mistake 2: ignoring facelift years
Same W-code, different lamp and bumper. Check year_from / year_to on the listing.
Mistake 3: skipping VIN notes
Paste the VIN at checkout. Our desk uses it for the fitment confirmation step.
Mistake 4: assuming left and right are obvious
Mirror and light sides depend on market. State LHD/RHD if the listing asks.
